2011 AJ Everhart Uniontown Invitational

The 2011 AJ Everhart Uniontown Invitational will be held Saturday September 24th 2011 at the Penn State XC course. There are over 20 schools expected to attend this year’s event. Jr High and Varsity teams will compete in seperate meets. UCC is host for this event and this is one of the largest sporting events held anually in Fayette County attracting schools from various states.

UCC team members and parents are asked to help by donating various items and volunteering to help at the invitational. Volunteers will be needed to help prepare team packets, setup on Friday morning, work the concession stand, work the finish line, sell T-Shirts and work the scoring table. Please contact Coach Everhart if you have something specific you would like to do. Parents will meet on Thursday night (Sept 22nd) at Coach Everhart’s house to prepare team packets and coach bags. Course setup will be done between 8:00am and noon on Firiday (Sept 23rd). We will meet beginning at 7:00am on Sept 24th to setup concession stand, trophy table and water & fruit station.

Freshman –  Please provide fruit for the finish line. Oranges, bananas or grapes are recommended. Please wash grapes and quarter oranges and put in a sealed bag before bringing that day. Bananas should be left whole.

Sophomores – Please bring 1 case of Gatorade or other sports drink to sell at the concession stand.

Juniors – Please bring snack size chips, cookies, crackers, trail mix or other individually packaged snack items to sell at the concession stand.

Seniors – Please bring 2 cases of bottled water to sell at the concession stand.

All are encouraged to bring other individually wrapped snack or baked goods items that can be sold at the concession stand.

Anyone who may find it difficult to provide the items suggested above, may provide a monetary contribution and we will use it to buy items as needed.

This year’s programs will include Happy Notes where parents, grandparents and others can send best wishes to their team or team members. Cost will be $1 per note. More information will be provided to UCC team members. Please be sure to have your notes turned in by Tuesday September 20th to be sure to make it in the program.
